The sound of textiles

The sound of an upright piano should be reflected from the wall the piano is placed in front of.

Any averted position from the wall changes the sound of the instrument. As the school’s pianos are placed standing freely in the music rooms they sound too loud and drown out sounds of other instruments or voices.

With the help of the textile designers of the 2L and 2M a remedy was found, namely a thickly layered and vividly designed textile cover for the back of the piano.
