  • As a temporary replacement for devices undergoing repairs or warranty claims.
  • For transfer students, to bridge the period until their new device arrives.

The process is as follows:

  1. Pay a deposit of € 100 at the secretary’s office.
  2. Pick up the loan device during the consultation hour.
  3. Return the loan device after a maximum of two months.
Devices for NEW students

Whether a new device is ordered through the school depends on whether your child has already received a device through the digital device initiative (e.g. at a previous school):

Your child already has a Windows device from the initiative

In this case, the existing device can continue to be used.

Your child has a device from the initiative, but not a Windows device

In this case, the existing device can be exchanged for a Windows device via the OeAD device exchange platform.

Your child does not yet have a device from the initiative

In this case, the device will be ordered through the school. See also loan devices for the period until the new device arrives.

Buying a new device – what to consider

When purchasing a new device, please ensure that it runs Windows 11 Pro. The device can be new, refurbished, or used – the key requirement is the Windows 11 Pro operating system, which is necessary for use in the school environment.

Suggestions for limiting screen time and controlling tablet use at home
  • Leave the tablet (locked in the classroom cupboard) at school if it is not needed for schoolwork (homework, presentations, etc.).
  • To monitor screen time, you can use the app Digital Wellbeing, which displays the screen time for the past seven days. However, it does not allow restrictions.
  • Establish a designated place/cabinet/compartment for the tablet at home that you can monitor.
  • Turn off the Wi-Fi router or limit usage during agreed-upon times. Without internet access, the tablet becomes less interesting.
  • Regularly discuss screen time.
  • Ask to see the browser history regularly so you can check which websites have been visited.
  • Check newly installed programs.
