Traces of the International Baccalaureate in „Visual Arts“
12 to 15 pieces of art work and a book filled with written and drawn records.
That’s what every student of IB Visual Arts (Higher Level) has to present in an exhibition after two year’s intensive studio and investigation work.
“Traces” is the title of this year’s exhibition at the Tabakwerke with:
Minkyu Back who explored Rene Magritte, lino printing, watercolour painting, calligraphy and the cultural differences between the East and the West.
Nadja Kreiner whose visualisations of the human body and mind and of self-portraits were influenced by influenced by H.R. Giger and science fiction.
Carina Obermüller whose work was inspired by Edvward Munch, nature, textiles and the theme „hand“.
Severin Standhartinger who focused on Tim Burton, Louise Bourgeois, portraits and photography.
Lara Zwettler who was interested in Banksy, stencil printing, colours, pastel drawings and under water effects.
Sophia Simmill who concentrated on Franz Xaver Winterhalter, self-portraits and portraits, and female idols.
