Language and culture trip Ireland – What a week!
From May 3 to 10, the 4m went on an unforgettable language and culture trip to Galway/Ireland. By staying with Irish host families, attending fun lessons at Bridge Mills language school and exploring the beautiful little town of Galway as well as the surrounding area, we gained valuable insights into Irish culture and history.
Some highlights during our trip include a journey through Irish history in the form of a theatre play, Irish dancing, bowling, and our day trip to Connemara National Park during which we got the chance to appreciate Ireland’s gorgeous landscapes. Although Ireland is known for its rainy weather, we were blessed with lots of sunshine!
And guess what? We even got to see an Irish folk band play traditional music in an Irish pub on our last evening! We fondly remember the good mood, the great energy, and that feeling of not wanting the week to end. Not only did we get to experience the authentic Irish culture by living and interacting with locals, but we also grew closer as a class, which is what made the trip so special. Thank you Ireland!
