Linguistic stay in Brest, France, 7L

Towards the end of September my class and I got to spend a week in the wonderful town of Brest, and I would love to share my experience with you!
We had the opportunity to stay with host families which all turned out to be super friendly and we all enjoyed the experience of the typically French lifestyle our host parents shared with us. During our one week stay we attended a language school to bring our French skills to near perfection. The school is called “CIEL Bretagne” and it is located close to the sea. Every day, from Monday through Friday, our lesson would start at 9:15 and consisted of playing games, watching videos and other exercises that were aimed to train our verbal capabilities. The classes were held by the awesome duo of Anne and Géraldine which we all enjoyed working with. After our lessons we went on numerous excursions, like the trip to “Ile de Batz”, a small island only accessible by ferry, or the journey to “Concerneau”. We enjoyed all of the trips but the one that stood out the most was when we went to the city of “Quimper” on our first day. There we visited the Breton departmental museum and the cathedral of Saint-Corentin. Afterwards we were allowed to explore the pretty town, filled with small boutiques and fabulous restaurants, on our own and we all had a blast!
I very much enjoyed our linguistic stay in Brest and I think I learned a lot about the French culture. It was an invaluable and interesting experience and I’m very glad to have taken part in it.

Séjour linguistique à Brest, 7L

Bonjour chers élèves! A la fin du mois de septembre j’ai passé une semaine géniale à Brest avec ma classe et je voudrais partager mon expérience avec vous.

Nous avons habité chez des familles d’accueil qui étaient très gentilles !
Pendant notre séjour, nous sommes allés à l’école de lundi à vendredi pour améliorer notre français. Notre école s’appelle CIEL Bretagne et est située près de la mer ! Chaque jour nous avons eu cours de 09h15 à 12h15 où nous avons joué des jeux et nous avons regardé des vidéos. Nos professeures, Anne et Géraldine, ont été très gentilles et patientes.
Après de l’école nous avons fait des excursions ensemble chaque jour, par exemple nous sommes allés à l’Ile de Batz et à Concarneau. J’ai aimé toutes les excursions, mais mon excursion préférée a été samedi quand nous sommes allés à Quimper! Nous avons visité le musée départemental breton et aussi la Cathédrale Saint-Corentin. Après ça nous avons eu du temps pour découvrir la jolie ville de Quimper avec des boutiques et restaurants.

J’ai aimé beaucoup le séjour linguistique à Brest et je pense que j’ai appris beaucoup de nouvelles choses en français! C’était une expérience très intéressante et je suis heureuse d’avoir participé!
